Where to Begin?
First, we need to establish exactly what you dream of doing and is that feasible in the space you have available. Rich and our team can discuss and advise on the possibilities.
After our first meeting, Rich will be able to give you a rough estimate based on current costs. IF you are ready to continue, we will be happy to supply a formal estimate for the low cost of $399. (This will be credited back to you upon signed contract). We charge this fee to compensate for our time spent on compiling specific costs & estimates from our vendors.
Next, we refer you to our team of proven vendors…..people we’ve worked with for many years that share the same integrity we do. If appropriate, we’ll ask you to pick out flooring, pick out kitchen and bath cabinets, pick out plumbing fixtures. Some of these vendors may need to come and measure before doing actual quotes, but we’ll be there every step of the way. We may find you need engineered drawings in order to apply for County/City permits. We have an architect we work with to supply the necessary plans.
Once we have secured estimates from our vendors, we will provide you with that formal estimate, at which time, you will be able to decide if you want to proceed. If you choose to proceed, you will need to sign your estimate and make your deposit based on the terms in your estimate. This secures your place in our schedule.
Important Timelines
We are all aware we are living in unusual times. You certainly are aware of the supply chain issues and how overwhelmed many businesses are with such. PATIENCE is the biggest necessity in your project.
Below is an honest guideline of how long some things are actually taking…
- Formal Estimate (2-4 Weeks)
- Plans & Drawings (4-8 Weeks)
- Surveys (2-4 Months)
- County Permitting (8-12 Weeks)
- Windows/Doors (4-6 Months)
- Plumbing (4-6 Weeks)
- Electrical (4-6 Weeks)
In addition, you must also be aware that your estimate is simply that…..an estimate. We are experiencing massive price increases in building materials. Items particularly prone to increases are plywood, electrical fixtures, and wiring, trim. We do our very best to give you current prices but as time progresses, we may need to adjust your estimate based on current market prices. Please know that we will keep you up to date as your project progresses with any price increases or supply issues we anticipate.
